I shouldn't really have to say that much in order to entice you into buying this. This is the vintage that the journalists are in rapture about. The wine is a masterclass in wine making and a true reflection of Meursault with buttermilk, intense fruit flavours and oak integration that leaves you in awe of such a perfectly balanced wine.

Bourgogne Blanc 'Les Setilles' 2005 Olivier Leflaive

This is a blend of villages cru grapes from Meursault and Puligny Montrachet with a 60/40 split. The parcels have been blended and de-classified to create a standard Bourgogne Blanc which is way above it's quality classification. 2005 is the monster vintage which everybody is talking about and most people are charging monster prices.. not us.

Ladoix 1er Cru Les Grechons 2004 Domaine Nudant

Production of this wine is limited to 4000 bottles per annum. The minerally flavours come, in part from the marly-limestone subsoil of the area contianing the fossils of tiny oysters that would, incidetally be a wonderful accompaniment to the wine.

Burgundy with perfect harvesting conditions, I should know, I picked grapes in Santenay that year, hardest job I've ever done in my life!
Crisp clean acidity with rich Chardonnay fruit and moderate use of oak makes this a regal drink.

Henri Boillot's status is rocketing. He says if he can make good Bourgone Blanc he can make anything. 50 per cent grapes just outside the Meursault appellation and 50 per cent St Romiane that he has de-classified. Puligny at half the price! Stunning

This is a blend of Villages cru wines which the wine makers have aged in new oak and then de-classified. if you close your eyes you're drinking a £15 bottle of wine. They wanted to produce an 'entry level' Burgundy. Well they've done it and it's stunning!

Quite unusual! There are nuances of bananna and toffee in this oak aged Burgundy. Rich fruit flavours to please, from well toasted barrels.
