Chardonnay du Chateau 2005 Chateau Chassagne Montrachet

This is a blend of Villages cru wines which the wine makers have blended, aged in 25% new oak and then de-classified. In all likelyhood there is some St Aubin, some Monthelie, Auxey Duresses, I think you get the picture. If you close your eyes you're drinking at least a £15 bottle of wine. They wanted to produce an 'entry level' Burgundy . Well they've done it and it's stunning!
