Sarget du Chateau Gruaud-Larose Chateau Gruad-Larose 1996 Jacques Merlaut
According to Robert Parker this vintage could be an outstanding sleeper. Powerful bulky style Gruaud-Larose, with dark ruby purple colour and plenty of cassis, spicy new oak and roasted herbs on the jammy nose. Anticipated maturity 2005-2020.

According to Parker the Meyney wines are grossly underpriced for what they are. This one isdense smoky, herbal and black cherry scented. Well made and medium bodied. Should last10-15 after the vintage.
